ASO (Ankle Stabilizing Orthosis)
|
| A common problem: Fitting a typically bulky ankle brace into a shoe. Too often, it requires moving up a full shoe size. Not so with the ASO Ankle Support The medical specialties ASO (Ankle Stabilizing Orthosis) fits easily into an athletic or street shoe. The ASO is made of thin, durable ballistic nylon - the same protective material used by law enforcement and military personnel. Superior support is achieved through exclusive non-stretch nylon stabilizing straps that mirror the stirrup technique of an athletic taping application. The calcaneus is captured, effectively locking the heel. |

The ASO is less bulky than competitive ankle braces. Fits comfortably inside the wearer's normal athletic or street shoe.
What Gives Here? Athletic tape can stretch, or "give", after some wear time - and does not recover. The ASO, however, has non-stretch straps that can be retightened anytime...without even removing the shoe! Utilizing the ASO versus tape during the course of a season - especially during practice sessions - can result in considerable cost savings.
